Graffito Marble

Abstract Art Etched in Dark Charcoal

Graffito Marble (often referred to as Grafite or Grafitto Grey) is a striking contemporary natural stone famous for its urban, modern feel. It features a rich, dark charcoal to deep chocolate-grey background that looks incredibly uniform from a distance. Up close, however, the stone reveals its signature look: an intricate network of razor-thin, intersecting white and silver veins that slash across the dark base. These fine lines resemble abstract, hand-drawn pencil sketches or street graffiti, giving the marble an industrial yet deeply sophisticated edge. Because of its moody, high-contrast appearance, it is frequently chosen for modern kitchen splashbacks, dramatic bathroom feature walls, and sleek, minimalist fireplace surrounds.

Fun Fact

The name "Graffito" comes directly from the Italian word graffiato, which literally means "scratched." It's the exact same linguistic root that gave us the word "graffiti"! The stone was named this because the crystalline white veins are so perfectly sharp, thin, and linear that they genuinely look like someone carefully scratched a message into the dark stone with a diamond stylus.
